# Lucy ska besöka 7 asteroider
Author: Magi-cat

"The mission takes its name from [a famous female fossil specimen](https://www.livescience.com/24297-early-human-lucy-swung-from-trees.html) of _Australopithecus afarensis_, an early relative of humans. The name was chosen based on scientists' hopes that studying [these asteroids](https://www.space.com/51-asteroids-formation-discovery-and-exploration.html) will shine light on the earliest days of our solar system."
